B. Frogs Hollow, by Williamson Chong Architects, 2009. It is a house in central Canada designed to compliment its environment and cater the needs of the clients who are cyclists and needed a base for their rides during the warmer months. It is therefore built into the hillside, rather than on top of the hill, and features a large concrete wall to shelter the ground floor from the harsh weather, and shiplap siding on the top storey to insulate the building.

C. I took this a couple of years ago on the sand dunes around the beach town where my mother grew up. You don't see flannel flowers around much, they have a really interesting texture that is their namesake and looked really beautiful in the last light of the day.
